"This is the last painting I made of a cutting from the Lime Magic Wattle that used to grow in my back yard. Some years back, my family and I planted the wattle in our yard. We wanted to nurture this plant as it is a beautiful weeping form of wattle with mesmerising foliage. Wattles don't have a long life span, so while it flourished I did a number of paintings including either the plant in location or parts of the plant as elements in a still life composition." —Stephanie Monteith
