"Apple relates to the tradition of 'trompe-l’œil'. Translated from French to English, 'trompe-l’œil' means ‘deceive the eye’. This is the name given to types of paintings or even architecture, where realistic imagery is used to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions. This is a playful visual experience that I enjoy interpreting.
