This sonic sculpture is inspired by the traditional Udu drums of Nigeria. Historically crafted from clay by Igbo women, Udu drums served not only as musical instruments but also for spiritual communication. In Igbo tradition, their resonant, airy sound was believed to bridge the physical and spiritual worlds, carrying messages and prayers.
